My wife and I decided to check out Sweet Cafe. It is not far from us so we were excited to try a new spot. The interior seems fitting for a brunch spot in River North or West Loop...not an insult just an observation. Our waitress was attentive, efficient, and kind. I looked at the menu and was kind of floored with the pricing although I understand they operate in one of the most expensive cities in the U.S. I ordered the 2 eggs special that came with toast as well as potatoes, onion, and peppers. It was okay, nothing fantastic. My wife ordered an omelet which I tasted, pretty fresh and just enough food. Each coffee was $4 which was kind of wild to me, just based on other breakfast places I go to. I enjoy going to Elly's on Milwaukee and Central, it's more affordable and a nicer atmosphere. I do wish Sweet Cafe good luck and to continue thriving.

Sweet Cafe is a delightful addition to the local breakfast scene! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the perfect tone for a cozy meal. The menu offers a great variety of options, from classic breakfast staples to creative new dishes. We tried few of their specials and both were very delicious and full of flavor. They also offer cocktails. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend Sweet Cafe for anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast spot in town! ---

This restaurant sits where the old Big Top restaurant once stood. Totally remodeled and a fresh new look, its Brand new everything! Looks great , modern, fresh awesome views from wherever you sit and the food is very fresh and you taste it too, from the freshly squeezed strawberry/ orange juice⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, to the breakfast potatoes served as a choice over the hasbrowns, WOW! Had the cappucino- perfect! Fresh fresh fresh ! It was soo good that I didn't even have to add sugar. Also ordered a iced latte and again soo darn good, you won't go wrong with either choice. I ordered a bowl of the chicken noodle and guess what? Made fresh in house!! Not salty like those canned ones you get served at in the majority of restaurants! Broth was on point ash's the veggies/ chicken was FRESH!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, I Ordered the Guiltless omelette and had them add Feta cheese and diced jalapeños⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ with hashbrowns , and we also ordered the Mediterranean Benedict and oh my gawd how could is this⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. You can taste the olive oil used a spray I assume when they cook so not only is it healthier but tastes so much better overall for your health. The atmosphere here is second to none I've ever experienced and the atmosphere here is amazing!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff here is all attentive, & very cordial , everyone here helps everyone. You may have your server at your section but you can see and feel the positive vibes/energy carried out from the minute you walk in at the host stand to the ones that bring the orders out to your table. Even ordered a pastry in the way out. It's Greek, looks like a macaroon but more like a tiny Boston cream and boy oh boy was it goooood, but too sweet but sweet enough to enjoy the freshness of it and chilled just right! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Can't wait to go back!! Parking: There is a parking lot that I've heard is tight but the day I was here the parking lot was clised & being paved and marked for spaces so maybe it was reconfigured . I easily found parking on the street asking side the restaurant

This restaurant has rapidly become my favorite for breakfast, brunch and lunch!! There are always interesting specials and everything I've had is beautifully presented and tastes amazing. The picture I uploaded is of the Shaved Brussel Sprout salad and it is only showing your about 25% of what was served - it was so huge that I had yesterday's lunch at the restaurant, leftovers for dinner last night (split by my husband and myself) and still had enough today to plate and photograph so I could share the exquisiteness of the dish. The Purple Dendrobium Orchid Blossom was surprising and delighting, far exceeding what I expect from a "neighborhood" cafe! Parking: Easy to get in and out from Higgins Ave.

"Sweet Cafe Diner's crepes are a game-changer! I stopped by for breakfast and tried the Strawberry Nutella crepe, and oh my, it was love at first bite! The crepe was thinly folded, crispy on the edges, and fluffy inside, filled with generous helpings of fresh strawberries and rich Nutella. The flavors danced on my taste buds, and the presentation was almost too pretty to eat (almost!). The service was friendly, and the atmosphere cozy and inviting. I can't wait to go back and try more crepe flavors - the savory options are calling my name! If you're a crepe lover like me or just looking for a delicious breakfast/brunch spot, Sweet Cafe Diner is a must-visit. Get ready to indulge in a French-inspired treat that will leave you feeling satisfied and dreaming of your next visit!”

I found a new favorite spot! The atmosphere looks and feels great. Great decor is very Zen-like. Their tables offer plenty of space in between them. The air circulation is amazing, too. Their food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. The coffee was excellent. I recommend their presto chicken panini sandwich. You will not be disappointed. Parking was also plentiful. I shall definitely return.

This place is absolutely amazing, the atmosphere is perfect. We sat by the windows and enjoyed the beautiful view. Our waitress was wonderful, she was super sweet to my children and always had a smile on her face. I will definitely be visiting excellent restaurant again. The food was delicious, I personally had the chicken and waffles, the chicken was super crisp and tender and juicy in the inside. Thank you for the great hospitality.

The best breakfast on the northwest side of Chicago. Try the creme brulee french toast... It's addictive. The steak and eggs breakfast had a nice cut of meat with a delicious side of potatoes and two eggs. Parking: 1 handicap spot Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access.

Nice place, glad it's opened finally. They are still working out the bugs with the service, as it was a bit disorganized, but they'll figure it out. If I can make a suggestion, they need to utilize the little booth at the entrance so that people paying are not crashing into the people coming in. Way too crowded for that and that small area. You don't know who's coming in and who's paying and trying to leave. Perhaps one side of the counter for people coming in and the other side for paying. Otherwise, a good experience and will certainly be back.

We ate here for Easter brunch. I wish we took photos of our food, they were all appetizing and great. We ordered the choco chip pancake, nutella crepes, biscuits & gravy and the meat lover's skillet. Loved everything! The biscuits reminded me of homemade, very tender and light biscuits - and the sausage gravy was awesome, it's creamy with a good amount of "lumpiness" but it doesn't feel oily/fatty (it's odd that I cannot find it on their online menu anymore) The pancakes were tender and fluffy with the right amount of good choco chips. The crepes was also a hit and was probably the first one we ran out off. The skillet was good. We asked for extra cheese, as one of my kids love cheese on the skillet. It's not as melted as I wanted, but overall it was great. The portion size are just right, not gigantic where you have leftovers (although we did bring the choco chip pancake home). But it's enough to fill you up. Servers regularly checked and refilled our coffee and chatted with us on the short history of the cafe. The staff was amazing, and even described the cheesecake that was displayed. The only reason why the atmosphere is 4 instead of a 5 is that it does feel a little bit cramped in the tables. I think it's because the square tables (where we sat) are oriented diagonally to the walls by the window, but then flanked by a longer larger table (6 or more people). Could just be me. Parking, as is anywhere in Chicago, is a challenge in this location. And despite them having a dedicated lot, there's not enough parking for the amount of patrons who want to eat there. This is a great addition to our brunch/breakfast restaurant rotation! Parking: The free parking lot has very limited space. But you might be able to park by the residential streets (side streets). Higgins/Foster/Nagle area is always busy so I would recommend to give yourself a few extra minutes to find parking.

Went to celebrate with some friends and even though it was busy, they found us a table for 6 right away and we were greeted kindly by all. The food was great (especially the breakfast potatoes) and it was a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. It is such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood and I am excited to go back and try more of the menu!
