This was a wonderful place for brunch with hardworking staff and a caring owner. Most important the food and drinks were great!

I’ve been coming here for the past couple months. This has the best atmosphere and everyone is always accepted. The servers are thoughtful and welcoming. The owner of the establishment, Peter, always has a smile on his face and takes time to say hello to the people entering the building. The food is always top tier and lives up to the standards written on the menu. The deserts are always fresh and a perfect balance of sweetness. If you are hungry and looking for a place after a long night, this is the perfect place to come. I highly recommend the carrot cake and the coffees!!!

Place is absolutely beautiful! waiters and waitresses are so respectful and nice! food is the absolute best i’ve ever eaten in my entire life and deserts and even BETTER!!!! Absolutely love the people here and absolutely Love Peterrr!!! Most respectful nice guy i’ve ever met in my life and is always there! Absolute 10/10 Experience! you MUST go here!!!

I've gone a couple times and never had an issue. The one time I ordered through a 3rd party app, there was a bit of a hiccup BUT that didn't stop there being great service. I called and we got it fixed, and on top of that, I received a pastry for the mix up. Honestly one of the best places to have breakfast/lunch

There are several reasons why I’m a regular. The food is very good. The service is better and the people are kind and hard-working. Inside and outside, the premises are kept Immaculate. Managers Peter and Taki do a great job operating an often busy room. It’s also right down the street which makes it even better. Don’t sleep on the breakfast tacos Thank you SC!

In from out of town and found this gem. Our waitress, Sarah, was incredible. She knew the menu well and had excellent recommendations. The food was superb. They have the best bacon I’ve ever tasted, and every item our family had was wonderful. It was capped by a great management staff who cared about everyone having a great breakfast. We love this place

A very nice place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Food was abundant, tasty, and well-presented. I liked that they use cloth napkins, serve the cream in little pitchers, and the whipped butter and jelly in little metal ramekins- much nicer than everything in plastic.The place was bright, clean, and modern. The parking lot is a little small, but you can also park on adjacent side streets.

My boyfriend and I split a chorizo skillet with a side of berry blast pancakes and a cinnamon frosted french toast, and everything was delicious!!! We also both got mochas that were quite sweet while still tasting like coffee, which is exactly my preference.Portions were sizeable and service was quick and everyone was friendly. This is probably the best brunch place I know of!

I recently returned home to Chicago after spending a couple of years overseas in SouthEast Asia. One thing I truly missed was some good home cooking. So shortly after arriving, my best friend and I went to the Sweet Cafe for an Old Fashioned, Chicago Style breakfast. And the Sweet Cafe sure delivered!The portions were ample and the eggs cooked to perfection! Our server Kathy was fantastic as well. I hope I get her next time I stop in. Such a charming young lady!

The name truly fits because the entire staff is incredibly sweet and welcoming. They treat everyone like family, and that’s something you feel the moment you walk in. A special shoutout to Ashley and Angie—they always go above and beyond and make our visits extra special.The food is amazing, and I honestly have too many favorite dishes to name—everything is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re craving something savory or sweet, they always deliver. Sweet Cafe is more than just a breakfast spot—it’s part of our weekend routine and we love it!

The service was phenomenal- Ashley our server took incredible care of us! Food was delicious from the sweet (strawberry shortcake pancakes and Nutella french toast) to the savory (chilaquilles)Carmel latte took a bit but was so worth the wait. Visiting from MN and looked up good brunch spots, found this place and loved it! The food was absolutely amazing, all of the staff are very sweet and friendly, and our server Angie was one of the BEST servers I've met (even better than me! as I'm server back home lol) love to visit Chicago and I will be back my next trip!

I dined here a few times with friends and family and I’ll say the restaurant is very cozy, clean and friendly. The food is very very good and you get a great amount of it. You can tell ur meal is fresh. The first time I came to this establishment, I had a waitress that I now request to have every time I go as well as tell others to ask for her. Her name is Cathy Finnegan (blonde hair ) she is just so friendly, prompt, professional and from what I have witnessed by watching her perform her job, she is hard working. You always leave there with a full belly and a smile !

Sweet Cafe showcased atentive professionalism, our waitress Ashlee made our family feel at home. She was patient, friendly, quick and observant!Before we arrived the ladies in our group couldn't stop their excitement about the mimosa's. I was really impressed with the selection of choices that were available. Each entree the menu described had me weighing my options leaving me excited to try something new. The varied selection of menu choices were great for both kids and adults which was helpful for picky mouths. We all enjoyed our time spent and left happy. We look forward to coming back.

We had another great meal at Sweet Cafe. It was the first time my husband has been with us and he really enjoyed. We had great service by Cathy. She’s always so kind and happy to serve!
